The ruling DMK took a dig at AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday for conducting seat-sharing negotiations in Delhi with the BJP, despite AIADMK's leadership of the NDA in Tamil Nadu. The DMK suggested the unusual choice of venue reflects BJP's overriding influence.

DMK leader and state minister K N Nehru sarcastically questioned why AIADMK had to hold talks in Delhi rather than Chennai, hinting at a perceived dependency on the BJP. His remarks came amidst accusations of AIADMK's changing dynamics under Palaniswami's leadership.

However, TN BJP unit Chief Nainar Nagenthran rebuffed the DMK's critique by querying the basis of their concerns. He highlighted that Union Minister Piyush Goyal's scheduled visit to Tamil Nadu was expected to further the talks, defending AIADMK's strategic decisions.
