Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, alongside his family, marked a significant political moment by filing nomination papers from the Jalukbari seat. His wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, described the scene as a 'very happy moment,' with a large turnout of supporters.
Riniki highlighted the people of Jalukbari's deep connection with her husband, viewing him as a family leader, while affirming his ongoing commitment to the constituency over the past 25 years. Meanwhile, their son, Nandil Biswa Sarma, expressed gratitude and happiness regarding the support received.
The nomination took place at Kamrup (Metropolitan) District Commissioner's office, aiming for Himanta's sixth consecutive term. With elections set for April 9 and counting on May 4, the family remains optimistic, with Riniki and Nandil both actively participating in the campaign.
