In the run-up to securing a third term, Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has disclosed assets amounting to over Rs one crore in his nomination papers. Filed from the Dharmadom assembly constituency, the affidavit enumerates his and his wife's movable and immovable assets.

According to the document, Vijayan's assets total over Rs 45 lakh in bank deposits and company shares, including stakes in Kannur International Airport Ltd. His immovable property, valued over Rs 56 lakh, comprises a residential plot and agricultural land.

The affidavit also reveals Vijayan's involvement in six legal cases, including one under the Prevention of Corruption Act related to the SNC-Lavalin case, which is pending appeal in the Supreme Court. An ED investigation into KIIFB's Masala Bond funds adds to his legal ordeals.
