Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty has openly criticized BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, calling for an apology over contentious remarks involving Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and PWD Minister P A Mohammed Riyas.
Chandrasekhar's comments followed the exclusion of Riyas from a Prime Ministerial event in Kerala, suggesting that if Vijayan had issues with the absence of his son-in-law Riyas, it was his own problem.
Sivankutty responded robustly at a press conference, condemning Chandrasekhar's statements as 'disgraceful' and politically petty, emphasizing the political credentials of Minister Riyas while questioning the BJP leader's own qualifications.
