The Kerala High Court on Thursday took decisive action against the entire leadership of SNDP Yogam, disqualifying all its office bearers, including the general secretary, Vellappally Natesan. This move was in response to the organization's failure to meet statutory requirements as mandated by the Companies Act.
The order, handed down by Justice T R Ravi, addressed a series of petitions, including one from the late Professor M K Sanoo, which alleged governance irregularities within this influential Ezhava community organization in Kerala. Alongside Natesan, Thushar Vellappally also faced disqualification from the Board of Directors.
According to a government lawyer, the court's decision hinged upon systemic violations of legal mandates that affected the organization’s governance as an entity. While the detailed judgment is yet to be released, its implications signal a significant shake-up in the governance of SNDP Yogam.
