The men were reportedly repairing water pipelines in a forest before they disappeared. Their bodies were found by villagers and security personnel, following the release of detained civilians in a related incident in the area.
The Chief Minister has announced that the case will be handed to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a thorough investigation. Additionally, families of the deceased will receive compensation. Tensions in the region have escalated, with villagers protesting the killings by blocking roads and targeting a police vehicle.
