In a strong reproach, Congress leader Udit Raj has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of disrespecting President Droupadi Murmu amid a growing controversy. Raj publicly reproved Modi's decision to inaugurate the new parliament building without President Murmu's involvement.
President Murmu also expressed disappointment on Saturday over the inadequate arrangements at the 9th International Santal Conference in West Bengal. She particularly questioned the choice of venue, suggesting it limited participation from the Santal community.
Adding to her concerns, President Murmu noted the glaring absence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the event. She highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in hosting such significant events for broader inclusion, emphasizing her personal connection to the state.
