A fierce clash erupted in West Bengal's Purulia district when BJP MLA Baneswar Mahato's car was vandalized during the party's 'Poriborton Yatra' campaign. The BJP accused TMC members of orchestrating the attack as six of its members were reportedly injured.
Despite police intervention to control the situation, the TMC dismissed such allegations, claiming the incident was engineered by the BJP due to the 'Poriborton Yatra' failing to gain significant traction among the populace.
Amidst subsequent incidents, such as road blockades and route restrictions, the BJP continues its Yatra to rally voter support throughout the state, culminating in a key event in Kolkata on March 14, where a rally addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planned.
