The Bihar Assembly descended into disorder on Monday as the Lok Janshakti Party (RV), a junior partner in the ruling NDA coalition, accused the RJD of disrespecting the late Ram Vilas Paswan, a former Union minister.
The opposition party, however, focused on demanding an increase in quotas for deprived castes to 85 percent. Speaker Prem Kumar ultimately adjourned the session until 2 pm after attempts to calm the situation failed.
LJP(RV) officials demanded an apology over a remark made by RJD's Bodh Gaya MLA Kumar Sarvajeet. The ongoing turmoil highlighted underlying tensions over caste-related issues in the political landscape.
