Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday outlined ambitious economic goals during a speech in the Assembly. Kumar announced a plan to double the state's per capita income within the next five years while generating one crore jobs and employment opportunities. He emphasized industrial growth and entrepreneurship to achieve these targets.
Among the initiatives, the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana was highlighted for empowering women entrepreneurs, providing Rs 10,000 to over a crore women ahead of the last Assembly polls. Kumar reaffirmed the commitment to job creation made by the BJP-led coalition before elections, sparking heated exchanges with RJD leaders.
Addressing past challenges, Kumar criticized the opposition's governance history, particularly targeting RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his family. Despite occasional political alliances, Kumar expressed gratitude for the central government's support and looked towards a collaborative future for Bihar's development.
