Senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel launched a blistering critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally in Bhoa, Chhattisgarh, accusing him of being detrimental to India's interests and branding him as the 'weakest and most cowardly' Prime Minister the nation has had.
Baghel charged that global powers such as the United States and China have detected Modi's weaknesses, allegedly manipulating them for strategic gains, evident in the recent Indo-US trade agreement. He criticized it as a lopsided arrangement where India conceded to zero tariffs on American imports while the US maintained tariffs on Indian goods.
The rally also focused on controversies surrounding MGNREGA. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring criticized the Modi administration for reducing employment days under the scheme to an average of 48, as opposed to 100. He pledged that Congress would continue its struggle until MGNREGA is fully restored.
