In a fiery speech in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Congress, focusing on Rahul Gandhi's 'traitor' remark against BJP MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, a former Congress leader. Modi labeled the comment as not only an insult to the Sikh community but also as evidence of Congress' 'arrogance at its peak.'
The incident arose from a heated exchange near Parliament’s Makar Dwar, where Gandhi, referring to Bittu, exclaimed, 'Here is a traitor walking right by.' Modi dismissed Gandhi’s rhetoric, questioning whether a political shift could deem someone anti-national. He warned that such conduct would further isolate Congress from the electorate.
Beyond the name-calling controversy, Modi broadened his criticism, accusing Congress of obstructing progress and failing India's farmers. He lauded his administration's direct transfer of funds to support smallholder farmers and spotlighted completed infrastructure projects, positioning India as a leader in global reforms backed by successful governance strides.
