Poland has pledged a significant military aid package worth 200 million zloty (approximately $55.91 million) to Ukraine, as confirmed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a visit to Kyiv. The package will primarily deliver armored equipment to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities.
While Poland is ready to supply Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has indicated a preference for other air-defense systems as being more urgently needed. This priority was communicated to Prime Minister Tusk, who is set to discuss the matter further with Polish officials.
Prime Minister Tusk has stated that he will revisit the discussions and provide an update to President Zelenskiy on Monday, ensuring Ukraine's defense requirements are effectively addressed. This move highlights Poland's strong support for Ukraine amidst ongoing regional tensions. The current exchange rate stands at $1 equaling 3.5771 zlotys.
