An official revealed that this initiative is designed to clarify public doubts and provide a direct line for questions and complaints.
The commission emphasized the SIR as a routine exercise that has been similarly conducted in other states like Bihar, ensuring no legitimate voter is excluded. To further assist, EC has activated the National Contact Centre, which operates from 8 am to 8 pm, offering toll-free assistance at 1800-11-1950.
Additionally, the EC urged voters to utilize these resources, including local state and district contacts for prompt support in local languages. Each complaint is tracked through the National Grievance Service portal, with a commitment to resolve issues within 48 hours.
