In a shocking incident on Tuesday evening, three masked gunmen launched an attack outside a Congress office in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district, leaving two people injured, according to police sources.
The dramatic shooting occurred around 6 PM at Janpad vice-president Nitesh Singh’s office in Masturi town, where the assailants, arriving on a motorcycle, fired 10 to 12 rounds. Fortunately, Singh remained unscathed, but his uncle Chandrakant Singh Thakur and brother Raju Singh sustained injuries.
Police are exploring multiple investigative angles, including old grievances, political rivalries, and personal disputes as possible motives. A substantial manhunt is in progress, with forensic and cyber units involved in examining evidence to apprehend the culprits.
