Rai, after meeting the bereaved family, condemned the barbaric killing, describing it as a blatant indication of lawlessness.
The Congress leader noted the distraught state of Singh's family, who were left without any immediate governmental support. He questioned the safety of the common man when even journalists are vulnerable. Rai also extended assurances for assistance, emphasizing on educational aid for Singh's child.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the primary suspect, Vishal, after a dramatic encounter. Reports state that Vishal sustained injuries during the shootout, which took place late Thursday night, marking a crucial development in the high-profile case.
