Goa CM Praises Special Electoral Roll Revision

Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant, expressed his support for the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across 12 states and Union Territories, including Goa. Sawant highlighted the importance of the initiative in bolstering the electoral process's integrity.

In a social media statement, Sawant remarked that a 'clean and transparent voter list is the bedrock of democracy.' He underscored the necessity of maintaining rolls that reflect only genuine and eligible voters.

The revision, he noted, is crucial for identifying discrepancies and eliminating ineligible entries, such as illegal voters or immigrants, thereby ensuring greater transparency and public confidence in the democratic process.
