Sawant highlighted the importance of the initiative in bolstering the electoral process's integrity.
In a social media statement, Sawant remarked that a 'clean and transparent voter list is the bedrock of democracy.' He underscored the necessity of maintaining rolls that reflect only genuine and eligible voters.
The revision, he noted, is crucial for identifying discrepancies and eliminating ineligible entries, such as illegal voters or immigrants, thereby ensuring greater transparency and public confidence in the democratic process.
