Mizoram is set to host its inaugural Territorial Army recruitment rally from November 15 to 25, a significant event organized by the state government alongside the 166 Assam Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army).
This recruitment drive is a promising opportunity for Mizoram's youth, including women, to join the armed forces. The initiative is spearheaded by the ruling Zoram People's Movement MLA, Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga.
The rally promises 144 positions, with special emphasis on female participation, reserving nine seats for women. Selected personnel will receive pay and benefits akin to the Indian Army, including pension and medical assistance.
