Tripura CM Vows Justice After Violent Bandh Clashes

Tripura's Chief Minister, Manik Saha, has pledged rigorous action against those responsible for the violent attacks on officials and residents in Dhalai district during the bandh on October 23. Saha labeled the incident as a disgrace to the movement.
The bandh, orchestrated by the recently formed Tripura Civil Society, saw twelve individuals, including the Block Development Officer and local police personnel, injured. The incident occurred at Santirbazar, leading to Chief Minister Saha's assurances of exemplary punishment for the offenders.
While the state administration has been directed to expedite actions against the perpetrators, Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma acknowledged the success of the bandh and expressed regret over the violent clashes. Debbarma expressed his condolences to the victims and noted ongoing tensions between groups.
