In a scene reminiscent of political dynasties healing old wounds, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray made a notable visit to MNS president Raj Thackeray's residence. This marks their fourth meeting this month, stirring speculations of an imminent alliance.
The reunion of these Thackeray cousins, who previously stood on opposing sides, underscores their mutual opposition to the state's decision to introduce Hindi as a third language in primary schools. Their increasing unity was also showcased during last week’s Deepotsav event at Shivaji Park.
The two political figures, once bitter rivals, are now positioned to join forces ahead of the rural and urban body elections in Maharashtra, anticipated by January 2026. Leaders from both parties suggest this alliance is now more a question of when, rather than if.
