Maharashtra's Maritime Milestone: A Visionary Voyage

Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis lauded the significant growth in India's maritime sector during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure. Speaking at India Maritime Week 2025, Fadnavis highlighted key initiatives such as Maritime Vision 2030 and Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision, both aligned towards attracting investments to propel the maritime industry.

Fadnavis expressed optimism about Maharashtra's potential to lead in shipbuilding, remarking on the expansive growth in maritime business under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. He noted the state's strategic goals to become a premier shipbuilding hub, aligning with national objectives to fulfill Modi's vision for the sector.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, at the inauguration of India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, revealed plans to redefine the Gateway of India as the 'Gateway of the World'. Over the past decade, India's maritime summits have underscored India's rise on the global maritime stage, backed by substantial structural reforms. The event was attended by notable state and national leaders, including several chief ministers and the Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
