A forensic science student and her accomplices meticulously plotted a murder, disguised as a tragic fire in north Delhi's Gandhi Vihar. Amrita Chauhan, the prime suspect, along with Sumit Kashyap and Sandeep Kumar, burned the body using oil, ghee, and wine after strangling Ramkesh Meena.
The motive behind the murder was the recovery of a hard disk containing obscene videos of Amrita, secretly filmed by Meena, who was a UPSC aspirant. Amrita orchestrated the plan with her former boyfriend, Sumit, and their associate, Sandeep, to make it look accidental, exploiting her forensic knowledge.
Investigations into the fire's inconsistencies led police to CCTV footage and call data, placing Amrita at the scene. Subsequent arrests unravelled the plot, revealing Sumit's LPG expertise to stage an explosion. The police recovered key evidence, including the hard disk, leading to the arrest of all involved.
