Crackdown on Cybercrime: Two Arrested in Nuh for Online Fraud

Police in Haryana's Nuh have arrested two men in connection with separate cybercrime incidents, highlighting a growing trend of online fraud in the area. The arrests were made following investigations into the suspects' use of fraudulent WhatsApp accounts for widespread criminal activities across various states.
The first arrest occurred when Mursaleem was apprehended on Sunehra-Naheda road. Officials recovered a mobile phone and SIM card containing multiple suspicious groups and fake barcodes used to perpetrate cyber fraud. Authorities linked these items to online fraud complaints, totaling an estimated value of Rs 1.39 lakh.
In a separate incident, officers detained Rashid on the Nuh-Alwar road with three mobile phones and additional SIM cards. Investigations revealed his involvement in fraudulent vehicle bookings via Rapido and Yatri apps. Nuh Police spokesperson Krishan Kumar confirmed that both suspects are under investigation as the scope of their cybercrime activities is analyzed.
