Suzuki Motor Corporation plans to increase its investments in Haryana, as confirmed in a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and company president Toshihiro Suzuki. The meeting, held at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, emphasized Suzuki's commitment to hybrid and CNG vehicles in India, aligning with the state's strategic industrial policies.
The discussion also highlighted Suzuki's plans to set up nine biogas plants in Haryana, two of which are already operational. Toshihiro Suzuki noted that if the company decides on manufacturing electric vehicles, Haryana is their preferred choice for investment. He stressed the importance of ongoing cooperation with the Haryana government for achieving these goals.
Beyond business, the meeting focused on strengthening cultural ties between Japan and Haryana. Initiatives like the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will be organized to promote these relations. The chief minister invited Suzuki to attend an International Gita Seminar in Tokyo and proposed collaborative cultural exchanges. Suzuki expressed interest and committed to supporting these initiatives.
