Tragic Incident in Karuthanur: A Tale of Betrayal and Violence

A devastating incident unfolded in Karuthanur as a 38-year-old man allegedly murdered a 12-year-old boy and critically injured his mother. The accused, Sakthivel, was found dead following the attack.

The violent event occurred around 10 pm on Thursday when Sakthivel confronted the boy's mother, Sathya, at her residence. Neighbors rushed to the scene where the boy had already succumbed to his injuries, while Sathya was rushed to Salem Government Hospital and is reportedly stable.

Sakthivel, who managed an electronics shop, was traced through surveillance and found dead by suspected suicide. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to this tragedy, registering a case under multiple counts of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
