Maharashtra's Crackdown on Unused Land Allotments
Maharashtra's Revenue Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, has ordered the retrieval of government plots from agencies failing to develop them or violating conditions. A special committee will review these cases and submit a report in a month to address broader land management issues.

In a significant move by Maharashtra's Revenue Ministry, Chandrashekhar Bawankule has mandated that government plots which remain undeveloped or have violated allotment terms be reclaimed. This directive primarily targets organizations like CIDCO and NAINA.
During a meeting at the state secretariat Mantralaya, Bawankule instructed the Konkan Divisional Commissioner to compile comprehensive information regarding such land allocations. A dedicated committee is set to investigate potential breaches among other issues.
The panel, expected to provide its findings within a month, will review violation claims and propose actions. Broader discussions addressed the re-allocation of unused government land to various institutions.
