The incident unfolded when the woman from Jalalabad voluntarily accompanied a man, and they were subsequently located by police in Rajasthan. Despite her assertion of autonomy, police records were changed to suggest coercion, sparking controversy.
The court's scrutiny, based on a video testimony, confirmed the woman's original claim. Dissatisfied with police responses, the court has demanded a full investigation by the Shahjahanpur Superintendent of Police.
