The ruling TMC in West Bengal has filed a complaint with the Election Commission, accusing central forces of using excessive force against locals in Nandigram, Purba Medinipur district. The incident allegedly took place on April 21, ahead of critical upcoming elections.

An official from the Election Commission stated that upon investigation, no evidence of such incidents was discovered. The TMC, however, has submitted what they claim are photographs of the injured to support their accusations.
