Iran Weighs Decision on U.S. Talks Amid Tensions
Iran remains undecided about participating in discussions with the U.S. in Pakistan. The foreign ministry's spokesperson criticized recent American actions against Iranian ships, labeling them as piracy and state terrorism. This raises questions about Washington's sincerity in negotiations.
Iran's foreign ministry has not yet reached a decision on whether to participate in upcoming talks with the United States in Pakistan, revealed spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei on Tuesday.
Baghaei's statement aired on Iranian state television accused the United States of engaging in "piracy at sea and state terrorism" following actions against two Iranian ships.
The spokesperson's remarks cast doubt on the U.S.'s intention to genuinely pursue negotiations, further complicating diplomatic efforts between the two nations.
