The Dutch military intelligence agency, MIVD, on Tuesday urged Europe to take greater responsibility for its security amid growing global tensions.
MIVD Director Peter Reesink highlighted the challenges facing long-standing Western alliances as well as China's backing of Russia in the ongoing Ukraine conflict, marking a need for European autonomy.
Amidst heightened global tensions, including a strained NATO relationship with the U.S. and the looming threat of Chinese cybersecurity attacks, the agency warned of potential risks to the Netherlands' interests.
