Jammu and Kashmir DIG Shridhar Patil has reinforced security measures in the Samba district, calling for heightened alertness and intensified patrolling to combat potential threats from anti-national elements.
Patil, responsible for the oversight of the crucial border districts of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua, convened a comprehensive security-cum-crime review with district police officers, emphasizing the strategic importance of maintaining robust surveillance in the border areas.
In addition to a detailed evaluation of the current security landscape, the meeting included a PowerPoint presentation from the additional superintendent of police, Samba. On the agenda was the district’s ongoing anti-drug efforts, with Patil urging officers to enact stringent measures against drug-related offenses.
