The opposition also insists on deferring the state census pending a clear legal framework to distinguish residents from non-residents.
A tragic incident on April 7 involving a projectile attack that killed two children has underscored the current turmoil. Congress accuses the government of neglect, pointing out the lack of direct response from high-ranking officials despite the ongoing crisis.
