Minority Affairs Partners with IIT Patna to Train 600 Youth in AI and Analytics Under PM VIKAS Scheme

In a major push towards future-ready skilling and inclusive development, the Ministry of Minority Affairs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna under the flagship PM VIKAS (Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan) Scheme. The MoU was formally exchanged in the presence of Ms. Neha Giri, Director, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Prof. T. N. Singh, Director, IIT Patna, along with senior officials from both institutions, marking a strategic convergence between policy and premier technical education.

600 Youth to Receive High-End Training in AI and Business Analytics

As part of the initiative, 600 minority youth from Bihar will undergo specialised training at IIT Patna in high-demand roles such as:

• AI Technocrat

• Business Analytics Executive

These roles have been carefully selected in line with global industry trends, where demand for artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation skills continues to surge. According to industry estimates, India's AI market is expected to grow at over 20% annually, creating significant employment opportunities in the coming decade.
