Delhi Police Unravels International Drug Syndicate

In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police have nabbed three individuals linked to an international drug syndicate, confiscating over 1 kg of imported hydroponic ganja. The contraband, valued at more than Rs 25 lakh, was sourced from Thailand, making this a significant crackdown on cross-border drug trafficking.

Acting swiftly on a tip-off received mid-April, law enforcement laid a trap near the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) gate. In a carefully orchestrated operation at 4.10 am, officers apprehended two men on a motorcycle and a third on a scooter during an alleged drug transaction.

Those arrested were identified as Faizan Rizwi, 24, Riyazuddin, 44, and Nadeem Beg, 42. The police recovered 1,030.5 grams of hydroponic ganja and Rs 4 lakh in cash intended for drug purchases. Interrogation revealed ties to a larger syndicate led by a man from Muzaffarnagar now based in Bangkok, intensifying the investigation.
