A domestic help, along with five associates, allegedly turned a Golf Links residence into a crime scene, holding a family hostage before making off with jewellery valued at Rs 25 lakh, police reported on Friday.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening, involving an elderly couple, their daughter-in-law, and a child, who were all confined in their home while the robbers demanded and seized valuable jewellery.
Police are investigating the domestic help's suspected role in enabling the entry of the robbers. Teams are scrutinizing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the suspects and trace their movements, with further investigations ongoing.
