Kangana Ranaut, a BJP Member of Parliament, criticized the Congress party on Thursday for stalling the women's reservation bill allegedly for over three decades during their term in power.
During a Lok Sabha debate on three amendment bills concerning women's quota and a new delimitation commission, the actor-politician lambasted Congress, highlighted the urgency brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and argued for quicker justice for women.
Ranaut pointed out the scarcity of women in legislative bodies, citing poor representation in Himachal Pradesh and beyond, and described Modi as the ultimate feminist for his achievements in advancing women's rights.
