The self-enumeration process for Census 2027 officially launched in Arunachal Pradesh, with leaders such as Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein actively participating in Itanagar and Namsai, respectively.
In a social media post, Khandu emphasized the importance of this phase, urging households to actively partake and ensure their information is complete and accurate. He highlighted the significance of digital mapping and geo-tagging in modernizing the census process.
Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Chau Sujana Namchoom also engaged in self-enumeration, encouraging citizens to contribute to a reliable census, essential for effective planning. The following phase, involving field operations, is set to commence on May 1.
