The Delhi Police's Special Cell has apprehended a youth from Kushinagar district, Uttar Pradesh, on suspicion of terrorist involvement, officials announced on Sunday.
Identified as Rizwan Ahmad from Padrauna town, the detainee was brought to the national capital following scrutiny in an ongoing investigation. A team led by Inspector Nishant Dahiya coordinated with local authorities to take Ahmad into custody, seizing electronic devices for further examination.
No local charges have been filed yet, but heightened district vigilance has been ordered. Ahmad previously faced imprisonment in Mumbai from 2017 to 2023 for terror links, with reports of explosives found in his room and associations with international criminal entities.
