Uncle Convicted in Nephew's Grisly Murder Case

In a verdict delivered by Additional District and Sessions Judge Rinku Kumari, a man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his nephew. This seven-year-old case saw Shahid found guilty of the brutal crime, which unfolded in February 2019 in the Bisauli area.
The prosecution, represented by Special Public Prosecutor Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, successfully demonstrated how a money-related dispute escalated into the violent act. Witnesses and evidence showed that Shahid attacked his nephew, Farooq, with construction tools while he slept, leading to fatal injuries.
The court relied on substantial evidence, including blood-stained tools and testimonies, to convict Shahid under Sections 302 and 452 of the Indian Penal Code. The tragic family conflict resulted in a life term for Shahid, emphasizing the dire consequences of unresolved disputes.
