Arrest in Jharkhand: Justice Sought for Minor

In Jharkhand's Giridih district, a 35-year-old man has been apprehended on allegations of repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl, which reportedly led to her becoming pregnant, the police have disclosed.

Authorities took action following a formal complaint filed by the girl's family, who noticed changes in her physical appearance consistent with pregnancy. The victim, now four months pregnant, revealed the horrific abuse she had faced.

The officer-in-charge of Gawan police station, Jayprakash Kumar, confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused admitted to the assaults. He also highlighted that the minor had been threatened with harm should she report the assaults.
