Union Minister Jitendra Singh spotlighted the importance of aligning innovation with consumer demand as he inaugurated the BIRAC-BioNEST incubation centre at Mysuru's Central Food Technology Research Institute.
The facility is designed to catalyze food start-ups, providing them the necessary infrastructure for advanced research, validation, and regulatory support in food bioprocessing and biotechnology.
Highlighting the government's commitment, Singh emphasized the need for deeper engagement between research institutions and private sectors to sustain ventures, pointing to new funding and support frameworks to accelerate innovation across technologies including biotechnology and specialized nutrition.
