A grisly incident unfolded in Assam's Lakhimpur district as investigators launched a search for a woman accompanying a man accused of beheading his six-year-old daughter on a train. Officials confirmed the man's arrest shortly after the crime, with local residents aiding in detaining him at Silanibari railway station.
The child's body was found inside the train coach, and according to a Northeast Frontier Railway spokesperson, the father allegedly wielded a sharp weapon during the journey to commit the heinous act. Witnesses recounted the child's pleas for snacks before the violent assault occurred.
Police suspect the accused might suffer from mental health issues. The focus now is on identifying and locating the unknown woman who was reportedly traveling with the father and daughter at the time of this tragic incident.
