Unjust Arrest Sparks Political Debate in Malda

Humayun Kabir, founder of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party, criticized the recent arrest of an AIMIM candidate, labeling the move as unjust and fueled by political motives.

Kabir asserted that Mofakkarul Islam, accused as the protest's orchestrator, was not involved in the alleged gherao and instead sought to mitigate local tensions.

He called for Islam's release and a comprehensive investigation, questioning the lack of action against other political figures present at the protest.
