India's diplomatic corps is poised for renewal with Senior diplomat Mahaveer Singhvi assuming charge as the nation's new consul general in Toronto. This move symbolizes a strategic effort by New Delhi and Ottawa to enhance bilateral ties across key sectors such as trade, investment, and energy.

Singhvi, an experienced Indian Foreign Service officer from the 1999 batch, previously served as an additional secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
