Mastermind Behind Judicial Officer Gherao Arrested
The West Bengal Police have arrested advocate Mofakkarul Islam, alleged mastermind behind the gherao of seven judicial officers in Malda. Islam was detained at Bagdogra airport, trying to escape. His arrest follows the apprehension of 33 individuals suspected of involvement in the incident, including an ISF candidate.

In a significant development, West Bengal Police arrested advocate Mofakkarul Islam, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the recent gherao of seven judicial officers in Malda district. The arrest occurred as Islam attempted to board a flight at Bagdogra airport, indicating an escape attempt.
The incident in question involved judicial officers being confined at a Block Development Office (BDO) in Kaliachak, creating chaos and raising security concerns. This incident had already led to the arrest of 33 individuals, including a candidate from the Indian Secular Front (ISF).
The state police are continuing their investigations, aiming to bring all responsible parties to justice and ensure the safety of judicial officers in the region, an official stated.
