In a tragic incident in Jharkhand's Palamu district, businessman Sameer Khalifa, also known as Guddu, was murdered by three unknown assailants on Thursday night. The shocking event occurred at Palika Bazaar, near the bus stand, leaving the local community in fear.
The police have reported that the attackers shot Khalifa in the head and fired multiple rounds to intimidate onlookers. Despite immediate medical attention, he was declared dead upon arrival at Medinirai Medical College and Hospital. Khalifa, a prominent figure in the local land and wholesale bag trading business, was with two associates during the time of the attack.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear. The police have launched an investigation, analyzing CCTV footage from the vicinity to track down the perpetrators. As of now, no arrests have been made, but the search continues for leads in this alarming case.
