In a harrowing incident in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, police arrested a man for allegedly attempting to murder his ex-wife by dragging her along a road tied to a motorcycle. The assault left both the victim and the attacker in serious condition.
The accused, identified as Rahees from Musallampur village, had divorced Reshma after a troubled marriage. The attack occurred when an argument between them escalated near Laxmanpur Matehi village.
Locals, responding to the victim's cries, intervened, rescuing her and detaining Rahees until authorities arrived. Both individuals were hospitalized, and a legal case has been initiated against Rahees under several charges including attempted murder.
