Tragic Collision in Pilibhit: Couple Dies in Motorcycle Accident

In a heart-wrenching accident on Thursday evening, a couple from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a speeding container truck. The deceased were identified by police as Prem Kumar, known locally as Nanhe, and his wife, Laungshri, residents of the Deoria Kotwali area.

The couple was traveling back from Pipariya Dulai village on their motorcycle when tragedy struck at around 5 pm on the main highway. Eyewitnesses reported that as they exited a village road, a speeding container truck from the Khutar direction rammed into their bike, killing them instantly.

Puranpur Kotwali in-charge, Pawan Pandey, stated that the truck driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and is currently on the run. Authorities have sent the deceased's bodies for post-mortem and are in pursuit of the absconding driver after seizing the damaged vehicles.
