Extortion Threats Loom Over Mihinpurwa Jeweller

A jeweller in Mihinpurwa town has become the target of extortion, with a letter demanding Rs 5 lakh and bearing the names of notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi. The letter, accompanied by a cartridge, was delivered to 'Jagdish Jewellers' on Wednesday night, police reported on Thursday.
The handwritten note threatened the shop owner, Chandramohan Soni, with harm to him and his son if the amount was not paid. Soni additionally received menacing calls from unidentified numbers. The incident has sparked outrage among local traders, who threaten protests if immediate action is not taken.
Local law enforcement, led by Circle Officer Pradyumna Singh, has lodged a case against unidentified individuals and promises to take decisive measures against those responsible.
