The quiet village of Haroog in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, was shaken on Thursday when a 15-year-old girl was discovered hanging from a tree. Authorities reported the incident, sparking allegations of foul play from her family, who suspect a murder.
In response to the tragedy, National Conference MLA from Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen, brought the case to the attention of the legislative assembly. He highlighted that this is the second similar incident in a month, demanding a comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Ramban, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, confirmed that a group of doctors carried out a post-mortem at the Ramban district hospital. An official inquiry is underway to determine the facts surrounding this harrowing event.
